About 130 soldiers with 639th Combat Sustainment Supply Company including troops from the Havre headquarters will arrive in Helena this afternoon after completing an 11-month tour in Iraq. Sgt. 1st Class Tom Steber said the troops, who arrived back in Fort Lewis, Wash., on Christmas Day, will be at the Army Aviation Support Facility in Helena. “They will land here today at 4 o'clock this afternoon, and there will be a brief ceremony, then they will get on buses to go to Libby, Kalispell and Havre,” Steber said. “I know they all are anxious to get home so I don't think they will be in Helena very long.” The public is invited to attend the ceremony in Helena. The company, which is headquartered in Havre, left last January for its second tour in Iraq. It also was sent to Iraq in 2004-2005 in a 15-month deployment. Steber said t h e t r o o p s have spent The last week in Fort Lewis preparing to return home, “turning back into a civilian. “Hopefully, they will all get back home to their families before midnight,” he added.
