Last defendant sentenced in fireworks case

The last of three Havre men who burglarized then set fire to the Havre Jaycees fireworks stand last June has been sentenced to join the other perpetrators in repaying the service organization, and to stay clean for six years. Judge David Rice imposed a sixyear deferred imposition of sentence on Anthony Groce for each of three felony counts: arson by accountability, burglary and theft, and ordered him to join Lester Skramstad and Charles Stratton in paying $55,831.60, plus a 10 percent fee, in restitution to the Jaycees and to pay fees and a surcharge on each of the counts.
