Jeanette Almos Johannesen was born Feb. 27, 1925, in Hingham, Mont.

She graduated from Hingham High School in 1942. She attended Northern Montana College and Montana State University in Bozeman and taught Home Economics in Havre, Glasgow and Kalispell.

She married Allen Johannesen on March 3, 1951. She lived in Hungry Horse, Alaska, Hawaii and most recently Portland, Ore. She died Sept. 21, 2010.

She is survived by her sister, Laura Rathbone of Havre and several nieces and nephews.
