Warburton understands the needs of northern Montana

To My Friends in House District 34:

This year's election is very important for Montana. As we get ready to cast our votes, whether it be absentee ballots or at the polls on Nov. 2, it's important for all of us do a little homework and get to know the candidates and where they stand on the issues.

Having grown up in production agriculture near Chinook and spending the past 15 years reporting on our agriculture and natural resources industries as a radio and television broadcaster, I can tell you that we need elected officials that understand just how important these two industries are to Montana's economy.

We also need elected officials who understand Rural Montana and who are committed to making sure that our heritages and livelihoods are passed onto the next generation; just like those who came before us did.

For people in House District 34, which stretches from Havre through northeastern Hill County and northern Blaine County, I would like you to join me again in supporting Wendy Warburton.

Wendy is a life-long friend, not to mention a fourth-generation Montanan, who understands the needs and concerns of residents in northern Montana.

Today it seems that our private property rights are in jeopardy. I'm pleased that we have candidates like Wendy Warburton who will fight to protect our private property rights. We need legislators who will stand up to these frivolous lawsuits that threaten our way of life and who will remind judges their job is to interpret the law, not make it.

She also believes in smaller government where input and decisions are made by those locally and not from Washington, D.C.

Wendy understands that, in order for Montana to have a successful business climate (one that not only sustains our existing businesses but also encourages new ones), we have to have lower taxes. It's simple. When businesses and individuals have the ability to make more money, that money then can be invested in our local communities. And I for one would rather see more of that money staying here at home and supporting our communities then headed to the federal government.

It's a tough job running for a political office.

On Nov. 2, cast your vote for Wendy Warburton for House District 34.
