Former county attorney backs Gina Dahl

My husband Bob and I have recently received numerous calls from many Hill County friends experiencing shock about my former deputy county attorney's filing to run against her current boss Hill County Attorney Gina Dahl. I hired Gina Dahl to be my chief deputy when I first became Hill County Attorney in 2003. Gina had been a deputy county attorney in Cascade County for a number of years and had significant youth court, criminal and trial experience. For the next five years, Gina was my "right hand man" in the Hill County Attorney's office. About a year before I resigned, Gina and I jointly interviewed and hired Lindsay directly out of law school. Lindsay is a well-spoken, outgoing young woman. But, having hired and worked with both candidates, I can emphatically tell you the difference between their qualifications is vast and conspicuous. Gina is highly skilled in every aspect required of your Hill County Attorney — whether it be effectively prosecuting criminals, conducting advanced legal analysis, or running an efficient county attorney's office. Gina's extensive experience as a deputy county attorney, chief deputy county attorney and now county attorney has given her the knowledge, judgment, loyalty, dedication and emotional strength demanded of your county attorney. In the next few months, Bob and I will come to Hill County and campaign for Hill County Attorney Gina Dahl. We look forward to visiting with all of you again. However, I write this letter now to make the record absolutely clear. When you receive your ballot and vote, Bob and I believe there is only one candidate who has the competence, dedication and experience to be Hill County Attorney: Retain Hill County Attorney Gina Dahl.
