NORMAN DEES obituary

Norman Dees, 77, died Wednesday morning at his home in Havre of natural causes. Cremation has taken place, and a private memorial service will be held. Memorials in Norman's honor may be made to a charity of one's choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home. Norman was born Aug. 16, 1932, in Havre, Mont., to Andrew and Dorthea (Lauvalien) Dees. He was raised and educated in Kremlin and graduated from Kremlin High School. He began farming the family farm in Kremlin after high school. He married Mary L. Weyh Oct. 4, 1953, in Havre. Together they lived in Kremlin and raised their two sons, Steve and Paul. The family moved to Havre in 1956. Norman would drive back and forth to the farm every day. His passion was farming. He enjoyed and excelled in the fabrication of tools and parts for every job. He even filed for a patent on a specialized hitch he developed. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Dorthea Dees; his brothers, Arnold and Morris Dees; sister Ella Hammond and grandson, Tanor Dees. Norman is survived by his wife, Mary Dees of Havre; his two sons, Steve (Mitzi) Dees of Kremlin, and Paul (Debbie) Dees of Havre; his sister, Dorothy Sanda of Minnesota; his brothers, Alvin (Evelyn) Dees of Tacoma, Wash., Richard Dees of Billings, and Donald (Rita) Dees of Kremlin; his grandchildren, Jared (Amber) Dees of Kremlin, Stefnie (Steven) Redding, Trevor Dees and Caden Dees all of Havre; his stepgrandchild, Jason DeLorme of Havre; his great-grandchildren, Jerek Dees of Kremlin, and Levi Wilkinson-Dees of Havre; and his step-greatgrandchild, Jaycee DeLorme of Havre.
