Breaking news: Cattle back on park

Beaver Creek Park and Montana Deparment of Transportation officials are reminding people that once again they need to be watching for cattle while they are driving through the park.

Park Superintendent Chad Edgar said this morning that local ranchers were moving livestock onto the park for the fall grazing season.

Ranchers lease grazing on the park from the day after Labor Day to Dec. 31.

Edgar and Montana Department of Transportation Area Maintanance Chief Mike MadDonald said signs showing the seasonal 35 mph nighttime speed limit were being erected today, MacDonald said a large readerboard reminding people that cattle are on the park will be put up just south of Havre Wednesday.
