Our View Cast your vote

According to many polls, public dissatisfaction with government is at an all-time high.

If that's the case, people have the opportunity to do something about it Tuesday.

They can go to the polls where they will have a chance to elect people to represent them at the county, state and federal level.

People wishing to vote in the Hill County Democratic primary have a wide choice of candidates with varying opinions on how government should operate.

But Republicans will also have a chance to express their views on some important state and federal offices.

Both political parties have a contest for the U.S. House that pits tried-and-true political veterans against newcomers.

Republicans will choose a candidate for the state Public Service Commission, a panel that will have much to say about the future of the green and traditional energy sources available to Montanans. The candidates offer a clear choice.

At the local level, because of Hill County's political makeup, most of the contests are in the Democratic primary. Candidates for county attorney and commissioner have expressed differing views on what the county's future ought to be.

This is the time for your voice to be heard.

Don't pass up the opportunity.
