PATTY RUTH ERICKSON obituary

P a t t y R u t h Erickson, 61, passed away at her home of anaplastic l a r g e c e l l l ymp h oma Tuesday July 6, 2010.

p. m. Thursday, July 8, 2010, at Holland & Bonine Funeral Home, with her funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, July 9, 2010, at Fifth Avenue Christian Church, with Chad Leathermon officiating.

Bur ial wi l l fol low at Highland Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at Fifth Avenue Christian Church immediately after the services at graveside. Memorial contributions in Patty's honor may be made to the Gift Of Life Housing, P.O. Box 7008, Great Falls, MT 59405. Services and ar rangement s have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Patty was born May 28, 1949, in Havre, Mont., to Melvin M. Rodgers and Juanita (Boucher) Rodgers. She was raised and educated in Havre, where she fell in love with Terry L. Johnson. They were married in 1966 and had three children.

Terry was taken from her in

1975. In 1976 she found love again and married Melvin Erickson. They later divorced but remained lifelong friends.

She was employed at Zip Trip in Havre and enjoyed seeing her customers every day with a sincere smile on her face.

Patty loved spending time with her family and was especially fond of the newest additions of great-grandchildren.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and bowling.

Patty enjoyed large family gatherings and would want nothing more than for everyone to enjoy this day together and celebrate her life like she did every day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Juanita Rodgers; her grandparent s, No rman and Rut h Boucher, Robert M. Rodgers and Gertrude Garding; her husband, Terry Johnson; and granddaughter, Shelby Johnson.

Patty is survived by her children, Modesty (Chris) Caven, Michelle (Tim) Kinsella and Jimmy Johnson, all of Havre, Mont.; her brothers, Mike (Sara) Rodgers of Havre, Mont., and Jim Rodgers of Chinook, Mont.; and her sister, Julie Rodgers of Havre, Mont. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jes s ika (Brandon) Bushard, C.J. (Lourdes) Caven, Stephanie (Nick Weller) Caven, Ashl e e (Gray) Chagnon, Patricia Kinsella, and Cheyenne Johnson; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Caven, Carter Chagnon, Kaidence Weller, Akausha and Ariana Bushard; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
