Election letter policy
Every effort will be made to publish letters concerning candidates in the upcoming election. Letters appearing to be part of a letter-writing campaign or of a libelous nature will not be published. For letters essentially expressing similar views, one or two letters may be selected for publication. Letters coming from outside the Havre Daily News distribution area will be published as space permits.
No letters concerning candidates will be accepted for publication a week before the election. The deadline for submission is 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26.
Our policy will help keep public access through the newspaper fair for all candidates.
