The Miles City Cowboys proved be too much for the Havre Blue Poinies in a Class A nonconference football game Friday night at Blue Pony Stadium. The Cowboys took advantage of six Havre turnovers in a 34-14 win.
Havre got two touchdown passes from Justin Jensen, including a first-half strike to Ryan Brandt. But HHS still trailed 19-7 at halftime, and Miles City scored 21 unanswered points before the Ponies scored a TD with just seconds remaining in the game. Havre fell to 1-1 on the season, and the Ponies play at Sidney next Friday.
