PAUL TONJUM obituary

Paul Tonjum, 64, died on Jan. 26, 2010, in Yuma, Ariz., doing what he loved so much, dancing with his wife. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held June 1 at 2 p.m. at Fifth Avenue Christian Church, with Rowlie Hutton officiating. Memorials can be made to the Heart Association or a charity of one's choice. Paul was born on Nov. 3, 1945, in Havre, Mont., and graduated from Havre High School in 1964. He was the partsman for G & B Toyota for many years. He retired early and began spending winters in Yuma, Ariz., with his wife, Carol. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernice and Ingvar Tonjum; three brothers, Lyle Gilead, Tom Gilead and Larry Tonjum; and sister, Mary. He is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Steven Tonjum, Tracey Tonjum, Gregg Bunton, Cindy (Ron) Beard, Scott Bunton and Stacy (Bill) Bender; sister, Alice Ridl; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His grandchildren were the light of his life. He was affectionately refered to as Grandpa Vroom Vroom because he loved to give them rides on his ATVs. Paul was a true friend and always available to help friends and family. He will be missed by all.
