The board of the Havre Public Schools has several items on its agenda for Tuesday's meeting.

The agenda items at the meeting, set to start at 6:30 p.m. at the Havre Middle School, include finalization of district action plans for 2010-11 and consideration of bus route changes.

The district action plan includes projects on its vision and mission statement, including reviewing its vision and mission plan documents; looking at the work of other school districts; soliciting public input; setting a plan to develop mission, vision and core belief statements; and aligning the process with its strategic planning process.

The action plan also looks at a review of student information data management systems, dropout prevention, reviews of staff member development, and aligning the curriculum and the district's public relations.

Other items included are the curriculum alignment for math and vocational-practical arts and strategic planning for buildings and grounds.

In the superintendent's report, the board will hear about the current year's enrollment. Also in that section, a presentation of the 2009-10 assessment report is scheduled.

That report will include an analysis of the assessment in the district reading and math assessments and how those results will be used in the annual yearly progress determinations for No Child Left Behind.

The building reports also are scheduled to be presented.

The next special meeting of the board is set for 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28. Its next regular meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12.
