GENE L. ROSETTE obituary

Gene L. Rosette, 73, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2010, in Gilbert, Ariz., with family and friends at his side.

He was born in Choteau, Mont., on Oct. 1, 1936, to Frank and Mary Rosette and was an enrolled member of the Chippewa Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation.

Gene served in active duty in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He earned a Purple Heart as a part of a distinguished 27-year military career.

Gene was an Army recruiter for Northern Arizona and the Navajo and Hopi Indian reservations from 1975 to

1988. Since 1988, Gene maintained various law enforcement posts including being the chief of police for Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation in Montana.

More recently, Gene assisted in administering a familyowned law firm, Rosette & Associates PC, located in Chandler, Ariz. Gene owned race horses and loved traveling to watch them race. He was also an avid fisherman and golfer. While he loved these hobbies, they were always second to his family and friends, whom he made his utmost priority.

Gene was a wonderful man, who was loved and adored by all because of his carefree demeanor and infectious smile.

He was predeceased in death by his wife, Sharon. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Katherine Gallegos of Havre, Mont .; and his sons, Michael Eugene of Seattle, Wash., John David of Portland, Ore., and Robert Allen of Chandler, Ariz.

Gene has seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A rosary will be held at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Chapel at 7 p.m., Monday June 14, 2010. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 404 7th Ave, Havre, Mont.

Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery in Havre. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2010. At 10

a. m. in Arizona at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship located at 1595 S. Alma School Road, Chandler, Ariz.
