Dana Sapp Seidel would be a positive, proactive representative

Editor:

Last winter, while helping do taxes at the North Central Senior Citizens Center with Mike Mariani and Larry Sapp, Larry informed me that his daughter Dana was going to run for House District 34 representative.

I applaude her and all candidates who are willing to put themselves in what has become such a negative, angry, seemingly non-comromising, situation. Just running for office can envoke scorn from some quarters.

I see Dana as a great representative as she brings a varied background that will be useful in making decisions effecting our area.

First, she has been active in community organizations such as trap shooting, bowling and serving on boards dealing with youth softball, youth basketball and 4-H groups.

Second, she is a graduate of Northern Montana College and recognizes its vital importance to our area.

Third, she worked in the Havre school system as a school nurse and understands the need for support for high-quality schools including full-time kindergarden and would see the attempt to privatize the teacher's reitement system as very harmful to public schools.

Last, as a registered nurse, she has worked in a variety of capacities including county health care, nursing homes, hospice and detention centers. She has first-hand knowledge about funding for elderly programs and medical decisions.

I encourage support for Dana Sapp Seidal as a positve, proactive candidate for House District 34.
