NRA backs Phil DeFelice — but only in primary

I just wanted to write in case any other voters are puzzled like I was. I received an orange post card in the mail from the NRA's Institute for Legislative Action endorsing Phil DeFelice over his "opponent" in the upcoming election.

The NRA went on to say that the "opponent" hadn't bothered to answer their questionnaire, normally meaning they are most likely negative toward the Second Amendment and gun owners' rights.
