Anita Marie (Schend) Bergman, 55, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, in Clancy, Mont., due to complications of pneumonia.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial Mass will be held at noon on Friday, Sept. 24, 2010, at the St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, with Father Dale Yurkovic officiating.

Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery.

A fellowship luncheon will be held at the St. Jude Parish Center immediately after the services at the graveside.

Memorials in Anita's honor may be made to the Humane Society, 1712 East Custer Ave., Helena, MT 59602, or to a memorial of one's choice. Arr-angements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Anita was born Dec. 15, 1954, in Havre, Mont., to Cecil and Georgiann (Cuerth) Schend. She was raised in Havre and attended St. Jude's and Havre Central and graduated from Havre High School in 1974. She worked various jobs in Havre. Anita had three children, Tera, Chris and Melissa. She was proud of her children and loved her family.

Anita enjoyed working on arts and crafts. She was very a compassionate and kind person always sending cards to people for a significant event that happened in their life. She was a softball cheerleader and liked to attend dances and enjoyed spending time with her friends. Her greatest enjoyment came from watching her eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Schend.

Anita is survived by her children, Tera Donaldson of Las Vegas, Nev., Chris (Teresa) Donaldson of Victor, Iowa, and Melissa Bergman (Jay) Gaines of Colorado Springs, Colo .; her mother, Georgiann Schend of Havre, Mont .; one sister, Susie Schend of Havre, Mont .; and two brothers, Dean Schend of Great Falls, Mont., and Joe (Barbara) Schend of Havre, Mont .; eight grandchildren, Chase Donaldson, Chelsea Donaldson and Chad Donaldson all of Havre, Mont., Trinity and Tucker Donaldson of Victor, Iowa, Alex and A.J Arnold of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Cecil C.J. Gaines of Colorado Springs, Colo.
