DEBBIE ST. PIERRE obituary

Debbie St. Pierre, "Eagle Woman," 52, of Rocky Boy, died March 18, 2010, at the Benefis Hospital in Great Falls. She was born Sept. 6, 1957 in Havre to Donald and Alice (Akino) Normandy Sr. Debbie was an owner and operator of the Village Grocery Store in Rocky Boy. She served on the Rocky Boy School Board for more than nine years. Her hobbies included taking her grandchildren to the Dairy Queen, cooking, bingo and helping people with whatever needs they had. She also enjoyed watching the Stars obtaining the state championship. Debbie had great pride in her grandchildren. She thoroughly enjoyed her last bit of time with her family, taking trips to Havre and going shopping. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Alice (Akino) Normandy Sr .; her brother, Larry Normandy Sr .; and her adopted brother, Robert "Bob" Taylor. Debbie is survived by her husband of 33 wonderful years, Morris St. Pierre, of Rocky Boy; her children, Eldon Normandy of Havre, Harriet, Donelle, Martina, Michelle and Dahntae St. Pierre, all of Rocky Boy; her stepson Daniel La Forge of New Mexico; her brother, Donny (Lois) Normandy Jr. Of Havre; her sisters, Audrey (Larry) St. Germain of Great Falls and Paulette Kegley of Arkansas; her grandchildren, Kami, Kazmira and Dacey St. Pierre; her adopted children, Leisin "Weezer" Oats and Nicole Messerly; her adopted brother, Russell Standing Rock; and her adopted mother, Dorothy Small. A traditional Native American Wake was held at the Rocky Boy Lutheran Church. Funeral services were 9 a.m. Saturday at the Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Havre. Arrangements are in the care of Holland & Bonine Funeral Home of Havre.
