PATRICIA OMSBERG obituary

Patricia M. Omsberg, 83, a retired homemaker and business owner from Cut Bank, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010. At the Northern Rockies Medical Center due to cancer.

Visitation was held Friday, May 21, from 1 to 8 p.m., at the Whitted Funeral Chapel in Cut Bank. Graveside services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 22, at the Crown Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include her sons, Dale and Darryl of Cut Bank and Don of Federal Way, Wash .; five grandchildren and several greatgrandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Josephine Walsh; husband, Dale; sisters, Helen Goligoski, Laura Herron, Phyllis Ihnot and Sybil Turgeon; brothers, Richard, Roy and Mike Walsh.

She was born March 30, 1927, at Havre to Richard and Josephine (Waldrip) Walsh, where she grew up and graduated from Catholic high school. In her early years she worked for the Great Northern Railroad serving as depot operator at Eureka, Gildford and Inverness.

She married Dale Omsberg on Feb. 9, 1949, at Conrad and has made Cut Bank her home ever since.

Pat was well-known for Pat's Snack Shop in the Northern Village Shopping Center, which she owned and operated for many years until her retirement in 1990.

She was a great volunteer and enjoyed helping and caring for other people. She served as a board member for Memorial Hospital, Cut Bank Senior Center, was a member of the Moose for more than 50 years and had served as a senior regent of the Women of the Moose and was a member of the Catholic church. She also taught Sunday school at St. Paul's Lutheran Church for many years.

Pat was a devoted housewife who loved baking, flowers and especially her dog, Fluffy. Pat was a very loving and caring person and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
