Spending money locally is a good idea

I just read the article in the Havre Daily (page 1, April 27) announcing the local effort to support local businesses. I think it's a great idea. As the outgoing president of the Havre Education Association, I would like to encourage our teachers and other school employees to take part in the spend locally effort. On Friday, spend $30 at a local business that supports our local schools. And as you do so, thank them for their support. And don't forget to vote on Tuesday! Karla Bolken Havre
