Barger wins justice of the peace over Huston

Tuesday's election gave the non-partisan justice of the peace position to Audrey Barger over Cathy Chinske Huston.

Barger received 2,780 votes across 18 precincts, with Chinske Huston taking 2,156. She won in 14 of the 18 precincts, in some with as much as 64 percent of the vote.

Late Tuesday night, Barger thanked the people who helped her succeed.

"Thank you for the warm feelings and support and your faith in me," Barger said. "I am going to do an awesome job."
