Two people show why Montana is special

I want to thank the Havre Daily News, Bear Paw Development Corp. and the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce for sponsoring the forum for the candidates last Wednesday.

Forums, debates and public-sponsored events are a much better way to inform the electorate than campaign attack ads.

I want to give a special thank-you to two individuals who make Havre special.

My truck had mecahanical trouble Wednesday after the forum. Roy Gerhart and Dick Harmon, two men I had not met before, went the extra mile to get me back on the road.

This is why Montana is special. It's full of good people willing to give the extra effort and expect nothing in return.
