The nationally-ranked Rocky Mountain College Battlin' Bears overcame a fast start by the Montana State University-Northern volleyball team Friday night at the MSU-Northern Fieldhouse. The Skylights jumped on the Bears early, winning game one 25-22, but the Bears rebounded to sweep Northern from there, taking the match by scores of 25-20, 25-17 and 25-18.
With the loss, MSU-N fell to 4-9 in Frontier Conference play heading into Saturday's regular season finale with Carroll College. Kaylee Bossert had 14 kills and three blocks and Elise Davis added 10 kills for MSU-N. The Skylights host Carroll Saturday at 2 p.m.
