Breaking Sports: Lights 85, Minot State 55

The No. 25 Montana State University-Northern men's basketball team finished off an impressive weekend sweep of DAC powers Saturday night at the MSU-Northern Fieldhouse. The Lights improved to 4-1 on the season after thrashing Minot State University 85-55 Saturday night.

Northern raced out to a 44-19 halftime lead behind four 3-pointers from junior Shaun Tatarka, who finished with a game-high 18 points. Junior David Maddock also came off the bench to give the Lights 17 points, also hitting four of MSU-N's 12 three's. LaVaon Myers added 13 points and a team-high eight rebounds for the Lights, who will travel to Las Vegas this weekend for a pair of NAIA clashes.
