Linda Marie (Damschen) Savage, 63, passed away at her home in Redcliff, Alberta, Canada, on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2010.

Linda was born April 14, 1947, in Havre, Mont., to Roy and Irene Damschen. She attended schools in Havre and graduated from Havre High School in 1965.

She moved to Rapid City, S.D., making it her home for many years until she met and married John Savage on Aug 5, 1985. They then moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada, and lived in the area until her death.

Linda loved animals. She always had a house full of many stray dogs and cats that she took in and gave a loving home to. Each and every one of them meant the world to her.

Linda leaves behind a loving husband of 25 years, John Savage, of Redcliff, Alberta, Canada; and three sons, Kyle Kelley of Rockport, Texas, Scott Kelley of Couer d' Alene, Idaho, and Michael Hirsch of Central Point, Ore. Also surviving her is a brother, Barry Damschen of Helena, Mont., and a sister, Debby Folkerts of Billings, Mont. ; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held in Havre at the Holland & Bonine Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010, at 11 a. m. with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery.

Memorials can be made to the Humane Society or ASPCA of one's choice in her memory.
