Great Falls couple dead after domestic violence report

GREAT FALLS (AP) — Great Falls police are investigating a domestic violence case that ended with the shooting deaths of a Montana Air National Guard commander and his wife.

MANG officials identified the victims as Lt. Col. Don Mahoney and Shelly Mahoney, Montana Stae University-Northern graduate a fourth-grade teacher at Mountain View Elementary School in Great Falls. Don Mahoney was the maintenance squadron commander and is a former Great Falls police officer.

Great Falls police were called to the Mahoney house at about 7:45 p.m. Thursday, and officers found the bodies in a bedroom.
