No Chinook football team had ever played in a high school football semifinal until last Saturday. Now, the 2010 Beeters are the first Chinook team to ever play for a state championship in football.
The last Hi-Line team to win a state championship was the Havre Blue Ponies in 2004, and before that, it was 1999 when Blue Sky/KG captured a Six-Man state championship. The last team other than Havre High to play in a state title game was Big Sandy. The Pioneers lost to Drummond in the 2003 Class C championship game.
