A nearly 30-year-old tradition continues this Thanksgiving Day, as a multitude of volunteers will work to provide a holiday dinner to hundreds of area residents.
"The groceries are going to be picked up at 8 o'clock this morning," Kitty Williams, the coordinator of the event, said today.
The free event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish Center, across from Pepin Park on 7th Avenue, typically feeds 600 to 800 people a year.
