Owens wins Hi Line Lanes Challenge

On Nov. 20th at 2 p.m. 19 bowlers (2 women, 17 men) took to the hardwoods to conquer the six different oil patterns across the house. When it was over we crowned a new champion, by one pin, Andy Owens. The results of the step ladder was 4th & 5th Jim LaBuda defeated Kelly Olson 242 to 191. Next match, Ival Jackson defeated Jim LaBuda 186 to 209. Match three saw Ival Jackson come out on top over Roman Surber 214 to 152. In the championship game Andy Owens defeated Ival Jackson by one pin 170 to 169 after striking out in the 10th frame. A second tournament of this type is on the back burner for the spring. Hopefully the weather will be better.

There will be no youth bowling this Sunday and next weekend is the Dewey Tournament, with youth bowling following the next Sunday.

TIP OF THE WEEK: Follow through, Low, Long and Outward. Deliver the ball into the lanes not upward. Extension is the key. Keep it low, extended, and fluid. Send your fingers to the break point no higher no lower. Have a Happy Thanksgiving smile and follow through.
