Havre High spikers hand out season awards

The young and inexperienced Havre High volleyball program played well this season, and even in the midst of a rebuilding season, the Blue Ponies displayed some talent.

After going 5-5 in the conference schedule, the Ponies landed the No. 3 spot in the Central A this season. And even after a difficult Central A divisional tournament, the Blue Ponies found plenty of positives this season and to carry into next year.

Senior Paighton Gilman grabbed the team's only Central A Second Team All-Conference honors, but setter Jaclyn Evans, sophomore outside hitter Sadie Seidel and senior libero Christina Mack also earned honorable mention honors.

Despite missing a portion of the season due to injury, Gilman earned a spot as a second-team middle blocker. Gilman was a three-year starter for the Ponies and played multiple positions this season.

The Ponies also handed out team awards after the season was in the books.

The newcomer award went to Sarah Armstrong, while most assists (461) and most aces (37) went to Jaclyn Evans, most kills went to Sammy Evans (200), most digs went to Seidel (203), best kill percentage went to Gilman (12.8 per match) and most blocks went to Juletta Don (23).
