Community Thanksgiving meal a success

Editor:

To the Havre community: This past community Thanksgiving meal was so great. We had about 120 volunteers over two days. And we served about 850 meals, of which 300 were delivered to homes in our community.

Thank you to Gary & Leo's Fresh Foods for preparing the turkey, buns and pies, and for getting all the groceries together for us.

Thank you to Brian Morse and his crew of almost 75 who did the delivery and helped get the 300 meals out the door.

Thanks to Peter Bruni and his wife Tina for cooking and taking control of the kitchen. You are a blessing from heaven for me and our dinner.

Thank you to the clean-up crew, Dave Rhines and his family and helpers, not to mention the North Central Senior Citizens Center for taking names and addresses again. Without that part, who could get a meal?

Thanks to Sheri Neuens, Mike Dehle and Chris Shaw for providing the music and sharing their day with us.

Last, I want to thank the donor for providing this community with the means to have the dinner, Please keep them in your prayers and offer a special thanks for them.

As this is my last year to chair the dinner. I will very soon have the dinner journal caught up and will pass it on with the written word. The dinner is not that hard to do. I want to thank the community for allowing me to be part of this dinner for all the friends I have made.

I will be willing to go over everything with the new chairman if they want.

My very best to the Havre community for a joyful and merry Christmas. God bless each and every one of you in the coming year.
