Hanson pleads guilty to federal stolen firearm charge

Kaine William Hanson of Havre pleaded guilty in Great Falls federal court in Tuesday to a charge of possession of a stolen firearm.

Hanson, against whom state District Court charges were dropped to allow the federal charges to be filed, is scheduled to be sentenced April 4. He is detained pending sentencing.

Hanson was sentenced in state District Court in Havre in July 2004 to prison for violating conditions of his release in a deferred imposition of sentence for the offense of deceptive practices.
