SCC men fall twice

The Stone Child College men's basketball team got back to action this past weekend, dropping a pair of games to schools from North Dakota.

On Friday, Stone Child fell 111-106 as the two teams put on an offensive display.

Stone Child trailed 57-50 at the half and battled the whole way through. Mike Sangrey Jr. and Rodney Turntoes each scored 22 points for Stone Child in the loss. Turntoes went 6-of-9 from the 3-point-line. Eric Schildt added 19 points and nine rebounds for Stone Child, while Grant Doney and Jerod Parker added 16 points apiece.

Stone Child also lost to Dakota College at Bottineau on Saturday by a score of 93-79. Stone Child trailed big at the half and couldn't quite catch up. In Saturday's loss, Parker scored a team-high 26 points, hitting four three's. Schildt added 15 points and Sangrey Jr. scored 12.
