Breaking Sports: Skylights 86, UGF 70

The Montana State University-Northern women's basketball team got a three-game honestand started on the right foot Thursday night at the MSU-Northern Fieldhouse. The Skylights broke open a close game via a 10-2 run midway through the second half and went on to beat the University of Great Falls Argos 86-70 in a nonconference game.

The Skylights (5-6) got a game-high 22 points from Samm Schermele, while junior Laramie Schwenke was outstanding, scoring 16 points, dishing out seven assists and grabbing five steals.

MSU-N will be back in action on Sunday night when the Skylights host Concordia of Alberta at 6 p.m.
