Paul was born to Paul and Anna Hofer on Sept. 12, 1956, at Lewistown, Mont. As a young child, Paul moved with his family to Turner where he resided until his death. Paul married his loving wife, Marie, on Nov. 8, 1981. Together they raised five beautiful children.

He was, at the time of his passing, the financial manager of Turner Colony, a job he truly loved and excelled at. Before becoming manager, he was German teacher and gardener, a job he also loved.

Throughout his life, Paul never met any strangers, only friends. Truly a happy person, Paul was always smiling and visiting up a storm. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Left to mourn and miss him are his loving wife, Marie; sons, Jason (Dorothy) and Justin; daughters, Heidi, Valerie and Marita, all of Turner; his mother, Anna of Turner; sisters, Anne of Turner and Dora (Bill) Wirtzberger of Havre; brothers, Gary (Esther), Walter (Barbara) and David (Theresa) all of Turner; and two beautiful grandchildren, Hadessa and Marissa, the lights of his life whom he spoiled and adored. Paul also is survived by his many wonderful nieces and nephews, mother- and father-in-law, Mary and Elias Hofer of Swift Current, brother-in-law, Jake of Calgary, Alberta; sisters-in-law Esther (Paul) Wipf of Taber, Alberta, and Susie (George) Hofer of Raymond, Alberta; as well as many, many friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Paul; a baby brother, Ben; and nephew, Cory.

Memorials may be made in his name to Gift of Life Housing in Great Falls or any cancer research
