Bethel Rose Hamby

Bethel Rose (Henderson) Hamby, 90, passed away of natural causes march 13, 2011, in a hospital. Memorial services were held on March 17 at the Bilbrey Funeral Chapel.

Bethel was born to R. O. and Bertha Smith Henderson on Sept. 23, 1920, at Warrick, Mont. She attended grade school in Warrick and graduated from Big Sandy High School in 1938 and from Northern Montana College in 1940 with an associate degree in home economics.

She was retired from the Fairfield Resort and was a member of the Methodist Church. Her hobbies were photography, genealogy, traveling all over and visiting family. She attended homecoming and school reunions in this area many times.

Survivors include her son, William Hamby of Reno, Nev. ; daughter, Maribeth Hamby of Bellingham, Wash. ; brother, Dick (Ginny) Henderson of Havre; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Hamby; her son, Richard Hamby; granddaughter, Karen Meisenzahl; and sisters, Ethel Fisher of Havre and Violet McMaster of Wilbur, Wash.
