Kremlin rallies for post office

Kremlin residents pack into a room at the Kremlin Lutheran Church Tuesday evening as Havre Postmaster Randal Schwartz, back, leads a meeting about the grim future of the town's post office, which is one of more than 80 that the United State Postal Service could close in order to address its financial challenges.

When the U. S. Postal Service announced in July that it was looking at closing almost 3,700 post offices across the country, including more than 80 in Montana and 10 of those in the 595-mailing area, many Hi-Line residents were shocked.
