GREAT FALLS - The Montana State University-Northern men's basketball team had to hold of a hard-charging UGF squad here Friday night at the McLaughlin Center. But in the end, the Lights came away with a 75-67 Frontier Conference road win.
Northern led by as many as 18 points in the first half and as many as 16 in the second, but the Argos made a game of it down the stretch. Still, the balanced Lights found a way to hold on at the end. It was a great homecoming for former GFH star Shaun Tatarka, who scored a game-high 26 pointy, including six 3-pointers in his return to Great Falls.
The Lights are now 1-0 in league play and 12-4 overall, and will hit the road again next weekend.
