Breaking Sports: UGF 85, Skylights 73

GREAT FALLS - just one month after the MSU-Northern women's basketball team handed UGF a lopsided loss, the Argos returned the favor. On Friday night in Great Falls, the Argos ran away from the shorthanded Skylights 85-73 in the Frontier Conference opener for both teams.

The Skylights led early on, but the Argos ripped off a 22-7 run late in the first half and never trailed again. Laramie Schwenke scored a game-high 21 points for Northern, while former Great Falls High star Samm Schermele added 18 in the loss. The Skylights fell to 0-1 in league play and 9-8 overall. It was also the first UGF win over Northern in four years.
