Havre had an extremely high voter turnout Tuesday in city elections with only one contested race, both in total registered voters and active voters who had a ballot mailed to them.
The total return was 37 percent of eligible voters, and 49 percent of active voters.
The highest return was in contested Ward 3, where Republican Rick Dow received 320 votes in the unofficial results compared to incumbent Democrat Bob Kaul's 264. Incumbent City Judge Margaret Hencz, running unopposed in the nonpartisan judge election, received 521 votes.
The turnout in Ward 3 was 47 percent of registered voters, and 61 percent of active voters.
In Ward 1, Democrat Bonnie Parenteau, running unopposed, received 388 votes and Hencz received 443. Incumbent Democrat Pam Hillery did not run for re-election.
The turnout in Ward 1 was 40 percent of registered voters, 48 percent of active voters.
In Ward 2, Republican Brian Barrows, running unopposed, received 405 votes and Hencz received 467. Incumbent Democrat Cal Long did not run for re-election.
The turnout in Ward 2 was 38 percent of registered voters and 50 percent of active voters.
In Ward 4, incumbent Republican Andrew Brekke, running unopposed, received 337 votes and Hencz received 401.
The turnout in Ward 4 was 27 percent of registered voters and 39 percent of active voters.
In the Hingham election for two at-large aldermen, David George received 46 votes and write-in candidate Dan Horinek received 15 votes.
The voter return in Hingham was 56 percent of registered voters and 64 percent of active voters.
