Lenno Dale Henderson Sr.

Lenno Dale Henderson Sr., 54, died Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, in Rocky Boy, Mont., due to a heart attack. His wake service began Sunday at the Rocky Boy Lutheran Church, with his funeral service 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2011. Burial will follow at Canyon Drive Cemetery. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Lenno was born May 11, 1956, in Fort Belknap, Mont., to Joseph and Mary Jane (Billy) Henderson. He attended Rocky Boy Schools, Flandreau Indian School and Box Elder Schools. He married Patty Morsette on Feb. 3, 1978, in Rocky Boy. The couple made their home in Rocky Boy, where they raised their family. Lenno worked as a tribal rider, a Bear Paw Hot Shot Crew and worked in the Timber industry as a timber cutter and as a fencing contractor.

He enjoyed riding horses and rode bareback in the rodeos. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was always in the mountains. He was a champion bareback rider.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lyman and Frank Henderson and Yule Reed, and one sister, Gloria.

Lenno is survived by his wife of 33 years, Patty Morsette of Rocky Boy, Mont .; his daughters, Lena Jo, Kristi (Orlando) Stanley,Monica (Everett) Windy Boy and Angel (Stacy) Small, all of Rocky Boy; sons, Lenno (Stephanie) Henderson Jr., Lonney Dean of Great Falls, Zack and Fabian "Juice" Henderson, all of Rocky Boy; sisters, Donna Turner, Judith (Charlie) Wood and Betty Henderson, all of Rocky Boy; brothers, George (Carole), Odin (Mona), Virgil (Toni), Dean, and Olin Henderson, all of Rocky Boy, and Loren (Molly) Henderson of Phoenix, Ariz .; 27 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
