Breaking Sports: Western 72, Skylights 69

The UM-Western Bulldogs have made a habit of upsetting the MSU-Northern women's basketball team in Havre. On Friday night at the MSU-Northern Fieldhouse, the Bulldogs did it again. Western came back from 15 points down in the second half to edge the Skylights 72-69 in a Frontier Conference women's game.

Northern led all the way until the eight-minute mark when the Bulldogs finished off a 17-3 run to take the lead. Western went up by as many as eight points in the final three minutes, but two Laramie Schwenke 3-pointers kept Northern in the game. But down three with 13 seconds left, the Skylights never got a game-tying shot off.

Schwenke led the Skylights with 16 points and Samm Schermele added 15 as Northern fell to 3-6 in league play and 12-13 overall. MSU-N hosts Montana Tech Saturday night at 6 p.m.
