Auditions for ‘Hollywood Dreams’ set for next week


The local amateur acting troupe is looking for actors to fill slots in the bittersweet retelling of the life of an entertainment icon.

Montana Actors' Theatre will hold auditions for "Hollywood Dreams," the story of Carol Burnett, written by her and her daughter, Carrie Hamilton, Monday and Tuesday.

The play, set to run the last two weekends in May and the first weekend in June, will be directed by Angela Pratt and Audrey Barger.

Barger said one of the reasons the auditions are set so far before the curtains will rise will be working with young actors, who will be key to the production....
