Blackout not enough to keep Havreites home

The power outage last night didn't stop patrons at the Golden Spike tavern in Havre from enjoying their evening. Candles, LED lamps and vehicle headlights provided enough light to keep the drinks flowing.

Just because the power was out doesn't mean that Havreites weren't.

During the blackout that lasted around three hours on Wednesday night, Havre still stayed active. Aside from the large amounts of traffic, many businesses stayed open and served customers.

At the Golden Spike, about a half dozen patrons were still inside and drinking two-and-a-half hour...
