Bonnie Jean Bachini

Bonnie Jean Bachini, 90, of Havre, died Friday, May 13, 2011, at the Care and Comfort Home in Havre, Mont., of natural causes.

Her funeral service will be 1 p. m. Friday, May 20, 2011, at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. A fellowship luncheon will be held at the St. Jude Parish Center immediately after the graveside services.

Memorial contributions in Bonnie's honor may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the Care and Comfort Home or to a memorial of one's choice. Services and arrangements have been entrusted to Holland & Bonine Funeral Home.

Bonnie was born Feb. 21, 1921, in Deer River, Minn., to Henry and Willie (Grubb) McGill. As a young girl, she moved with her family to Havre, where she attended schools. On Dec. 31, 1941, Bonnie married Joseph Bachini. Together they owned and operated Bachini's Grocery and the Siesta Motel, which they operated together with their girls. Bonnie and Joe raised their family of five girls of which they were very proud.

Bonnie enjoyed doing things with her husband, Joe, they hunted together and went fishing together. She enjoyed her family and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dyllis Bucklin and Marjorie Reed; and two brothers, Paul McGill and Robert McGill.

Bonnie is survived by her husband of 70 years, Joseph R. Bachini of Havre, Mont. ; her daughters, Marilyn (John) Doner of Ohio, and JoAnn Bates, Janice Bachini, Judy (Mickey) Geldard and Debbie (Earl) Courtnage, all of Havre, Mont. ; sisters, Dorthy Coenig, Rosemary Grubb, Ruth Sutherland and Joan Publos; one brother, Eugene McGill; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
