No breast cancer golf tournament

Hi-Line Women Against Breast Cancer is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that was formed to raise funds for breast cancer patients in our immediate area. We are now in our 11th year.

We have had great success in helping local patients with travel expenses including gas, lodging and meals, medication, medical bills, day care, wigs, prosthesis, deductibles and co-insurance payments, and other financial help. Thanks to your support we were able to pay out over $33,000 in aid in 2010. The patients who receive these donations are so grateful. You can be assured that your donations have helped them through a very challenging time.

After much thought, discussions, concern and prayer, we have decided that there will not be a golf tournament this year. Our board needs some time to regroup and reorganize. The tournament takes almost every day for seven months to put together and it has worn us all out. Also, Tina Wood, our very hardworking board member, resigned at this last year's tournament and two of our board members have had relapses of their breast cancer. With her relapse, Maureen Cicon has also chosen to resign from the board, so we have a lot on our plate to deal with at this time.

But, please be assured that the organization continues on with helping breast cancer patients whom we have been helping and also taking on new patients as we hear about them or they hear about us. We have money to continue on with our work, but always need more.

We are again asking for your assistance to help our patients by purchasing a sponsorship advertising your business/name that will be displayed in full page ad in all local newspapers in October which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. There are several levels of sponsorship. They are: Corporate Sponsor $1500 or more, Diamond Sponsor $1000, Platinum Sponsor $500, Gold Sponsor $200 and Silver Sponsor $100. Golfers, if your team sponsor would like to donate what your entry fee would have been, their name will be in the ad as a Gold Sponsor.

Of course we will accept any financial aid that you can give us. Our organization appreciates anything you feel you can donate to us for our cause.

It would help us greatly if you could mail your donation to: Hi-Line WABC, PO Box 154, Chester MT 59522. We hope you will consider us once again.

Please keep in your mind and heart the patients and their loved ones for whom this money is being raised. Thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

Hi-Line WABC Board
