HHS girls visit GFH tonight

The Havre High girls basketball team is preparing to play its third game against a tough opponent in five days.

And after coming off of a 49-46 win over Conrad on Saturday, the Central A Blue Ponies are hoping to continue in their success.

But facing a mysterious Class AA Great Falls Bison team won't be easy. And facing them on the road in Great Falls won't be easy either. The Ponies and Bison will tip off tonight at 5:30 p.m.

"I know that they are down a little bit this year," Havre High head coach Dustin Kraske said. "But every time we play them the games are always close, no matter if they are at our place or we're at theirs. We're just looking to clean up the fouls that we had against Conrad, play a little bit better defense continue to execute and grow offensively."

The Ponies had four girls foul out against Conrad on Saturday. They were able to win, but HHS can't afford the same foul trouble against the Bison.

And the Ponies don't really know what they are up against.

HHS has really been focusing on themselves in practice and that continues to be the story. The Ponies haven't even really broken down game film. They are just going in with the hopes of playing well and continuing to get better.

"As long as we play better today than we did yesterday (Saturday) that's all that matters," Kraske said.

The Ponies (2-6, 1-4) will face the Bison in Great Falls tonight at 5:30 p.m.
