Hi-Line boys earn hoops honors

The winter sports season has come to an end, but area athletes are still being honored and recognized for their efforts.

In the District 9C, the Chinook Sugarbeeters got the most nods with four individuals earning all-conference honors and head coach Chris Daniel earning the always coveted, District 9C coach of the year.

Senior forward Taylor Erskine, senior guard Lane Schmitt, senior forward Tyler Molyneaux and senior guard Chris Haider all grabbed all-conference honors for the Beeters.

The Big Sandy Pioneers, Box Elder Bears, Turner Tornadoes and North Star Knights all earned post season honors as well.

Senior guard Travis Daniels was the only Tornado to earn all-conference honors, while junior guard Jordy Donoven and senior forward Connor Kline earned all-conference honors for the Knights. And for the Pioneers, sophomore Trevor Lackner and junior center Justin Stevens grabbed all conference titles, while senior forward Tyler Roberts and sophomore guard Scott Bradley grabbed all conference honors for Hays-Lodge Pole.

Box Elder's junior guard Jesse Ramos also earned all conference honors.

In the 10C, Lane Harmon garnered first team honors for Chester/J-I.

But the post season accolades didn't stop there, as two more athletes from the 9C also earned all state honors. Erskine and Schmitt both earned Class C All-State honors for the Beeters.
