Havre High Blue/White Games set for Saturday

Football and volleyball fans can get an up-close look and season preview of their Havre High teams on Saturday.

Both the Havre High volleyball team and the Blue Pony football team will hold annual Blue/White Scrimmages on Saturday in preparation for next week's season-opening games.

The Pony volleyball team, under the direction of head coach Melanie Skoyen will hold its Blue/White scrimmage at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the Havre High gymnasium. The Ponies have been practicing since Monday and are working towards opening their regular season on Sept. 2 at Livingston and Belgrade.

Meanwhile, the HHS football team has been hard at work since last Friday, and the Ponies are just a week away from opening their season with the annual rivalry game against the Whitefish Bulldogs. HHS takes on Whitefish on Aug. 27 at Blue Pony Stadium.

Havre enters its second year under head coach and former Blue Pony great Jason Christenson, and they will conduct their Blue/White scrimmage at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at Blue Pony Stadium.

There will be a barbeque during the Blue/White Game put on by the HHS Booster Club, and fans can get a look at the Pony varsity and sub-varsity teams in a controlled scrimmage at Blue Pony Stadium.
