Taryn Norby scored a game-high 19 points for Chinook and Makhayla Farmer added 14. North Star got 10 points from Lisa Carlon and nine from Taylor Warren in the loss.

The Beeters returned to the floor Saturday for a long-awaited showdown with the Box Elder Bears. In Chinook though, the Beeters came up short against the high-powered Bears as Box Elder won 57-49. The win over Sunburst was the first of two for C/J-I on the weekend. The Hawks also beat rival Simms 46-41 Saturday night on the road. The game was nip-and-tuck throughout, but the Hawks held a slim lead in the fourth and were able to hold off the Tigers.
